This Register provides a form of validation, based on the evidence they present, for individuals who can carry out this form of work.
It provides recognition to these individuals, so that the public and dento-legal bodies know of their capabilities.
It supports improving quality of expert work to assist decision-makers in making better decisions.
It promotes the training of individuals who are working in this field, or have an aspiration to do so
The Register can only provide a list of individuals who meet the criteria for training and experience that have been set. It is a matter for the instructing party, court or similar body to decide if an individual is able to meet their obligations as an expert or other similar role.
