The College is marking its second anniversary by offering dental professionals a free print copy of the Primary Dental Journal.

The College has announced changes to the membership of its Council, with four members newly appointed and two re-elected.

The College has announced Professor Shamir Mehta FCGDent, Subir Banerji FCGDent and Professor Jason Leitch CBE FFGDP(UK)(Hon.) FCGDent as the speakers at its annual study day in Glasgow.

Patricia Thomson and Matthew Collins have been elected as Vice Presidents of the College for 2023-24.

The latest edition of the Primary Dental Journal, the Aesthetic dentistry part 1 issue, is now live online featuring a wide range of topics relating to aspects of general dental practice and the primary care team.

The College has now admitted over 400 dental professionals into Fellowship in recognition of their high-level and wide-ranging professional capabilities.

The College has announced the recipients of its second annual award of honorary fellowships and the President’s Commendation.

Colleagues are reminded that Monday 28 August 2023 is the deadline for all dental professionals other than dentists to submit an annual CPD statement detailing professional development activity undertaken between and 1 August 2022 and 31 July 2023.

The College is seeking a dental Trustee and an independent Trustee to help us in our historic mission to build a future Royal College for dentistry.

The list of fellowships which qualify applicants for Fellowship of the College by means of equivalence has been amended.
