Fellowship recognises highly qualified and experienced professionals across a range of domains of practice.

Fellowship requires:

  • three recognised domains for dentists (College Fellowship)
  • two recognised domains for other professional roles (Role Fellowship)

In addition to your existing experience or qualifications, how many further recognised domains apply to you?

1. Clinical & Technical Demonstrates advanced, peer‑recognised clinical or closely-related technical expertise, underpinned by postgraduate training or equivalent experience, with the capability to deliver complex care or associated services, or act as a referral‑level practitioner.
2. Teaching & Assessment Demonstrates sustained contribution to the education, development, and assessment of others within dentistry, through formal teaching, mentoring, appraisal, or academic roles.
3. Leadership & Management Demonstrates effective leadership, governance, or organisational management within clinical, educational, professional, or regulatory settings, contributing to service improvement and professional standards.
4. Publications & Research Demonstrates scholarly contribution to dentistry through research, publication, critical inquiry, or dissemination of knowledge that informs practice, policy, or education.
5. Law & Ethics Demonstrates authoritative understanding and application of legal, ethical, and professional standards in dentistry, including governance, regulation, and patient protection.
