Prof Igor Blum

Professor Igor Blum is Editor-in-Chief of the Primary Dental Journal. Following several years in general dental practice, he became a lecturer at Bristol Dental School, and is currently Clinical Lead and Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at King’s College Hospital and Professor in Primary Care Dentistry and Advanced General Dental Practice at King’s College London. He qualified DDS in 1995, holds an MSc in Oral Surgery, a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree, a PhD in Restorative Dentistry, a PGCHE, MA (Educ.) and LLM, and is a GDC-registered specialist in prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics and restorative dentistry. He has authored over 80 peer-reviewed journal papers, lectures nationally and internationally, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, the International College Dentists and the Higher Education Academy. Igor is a non-voting member of the Council.
