Full Membership

Full Membership of the College recognises your commitment to developing your knowledge and skills, for the benefit of your patients. As a Full Member, you are demonstrating your commitment to career progression and lifelong learning, as you work to further enhance your practice and levels of patient care.

You are recognised as an Experienced Practitioner on the College’s Career Pathway and your professional standing is marked with the use of the postnominals MCGDent.

To apply for admission to Full Membership of the College:

Criteria for Full Membership

Full Membership is for you if you meet the criteria for Associate Membership AND you hold a Postgraduate Certificate level qualification in a relevant subject.

These qualifications are recognised for Full Membership:

• MJDF
• MFDS
• MFGDP(UK)
• Diploma in General Dental Practice
• Postgraduate Certificate(s) in a relevant subject, which meets our eligibility criteria
  
  ‘Relevant subject’ means either a dental subject or a subject of wider relevance to the enhancement of oral healthcare; this is interpreted at the discretion of the College Council, and the College reserves the right to determine applications on a case-by-case basis.
  

To confirm your eligibility for membership, we may require evidence of your award transcript, not just your award certificate.

Membership fee

We offer concessions on our membership fees in some circumstances and if you are a UK taxpayer, you may be able to claim tax relief on your fees.
