Become an Associate Fellow

Associate Fellowship of the College recognises your enhanced knowledge and skills, and demonstrates your commitment to lifelong learning and the highest levels of patient care. As an Associate Fellow, you join the College as a senior member, on your pathway to Fellowship, and you will have the opportunity for ceremonial admission by the College President at one of our prestigious Fellows’ Receptions.

Recognised as an Enhanced Practitioner on the College’s Career Pathway, your professional standing is marked with the use of the postnominals AssocFCGDent.

If you have been admitted to membership already

Criteria for Associate Fellowship

Associate Fellowship is open to all dental professionals. You are eligible if you meet the criteria for Associate Membership, AND you have at least five years’ experience in practice, and meet the requirements of any one of the College’s five Fellowship domains.

Membership fee

We offer concessions on our membership fees in some circumstances and if you are a UK taxpayer, you may be able to claim tax relief on your fees.

To join online, you will need to have ready:

  • Photos or scans of the required registration and/or award certificate(s). You don’t need to upload evidence of GDC registration.
  • Bank details to set up your payment arrangements
