We offer concessionary fees to newly-registered dental professionals, retired practitioners, those practising overseas, and to support members through life events

Eligibility

New registrants – those joining (or transferring from student membership) within twelve months of first registering with the GDC or an overseas equivalent – are eligible for a reduced fee for their first year of College membership.

Retired members – those who are both no longer registered with the GDC (or an overseas equivalent) and no longer working in a paid capacity in any dentally-related role – are eligible to pay our concessionary fees. The discount is automatically re-applied to your subscription each year, but you must notify us if your circumstances change.

Overseas members – those whose postal address supplied to the College is outside the UK and who are both not registered with the GDC and do not undertake paid dentally-related work in the UK – are also eligible to pay our concessionary fees. The discount is automatically re-applied to your subscription each year, but you must notify us if your circumstances change.

Our concessionary fees are also available for those who are not practising due to long-term illness, those taking a career break (or in full-time education), those on maternity leave and those who are unemployed or in hardship. In these circumstances, we apply a temporary 12 month discount to your subscription.

Please note that we do not offer a discount for part-time working.

Rates

Our concessionary fees are listed on our Membership fees page (see “Dental Nurses plus concessionary fees for all groups”).
