The College has announced a two-part exploration of dental implants by its Midlands Study Club over the coming weeks.
The CGDent Scotland Study Day 2026: digital dentistry for the dental team
The College has announced that Dr Noland Naidoo, Dr Helen Kaney FCGDent, Prof Murali Srinivasan and Prof Gerry McKenna FCGDent will be the speakers for this year’s annual study day in Glasgow.
New Trustees
The College has appointed Dr Catherine Rutland FCGDent and Professor Andrew Eder FCGDent to its Board of Trustees.
Fast-track MSc for Associate Fellows and Fellows, 2026-27
The next cohort of the Aston University one-year MSc in General Dental Practice, which Fellows and Associate Fellows may enrol on, starts in September. Completion satisfies the Research & Publications domain of Fellowship.
CGDent Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Care Orthodontics, 2026-28
The College is now accepting applications for the next cohort of its Postgraduate Diploma programme in Primary Care Orthodontics, starting in June.
Revised Fellowship criteria
The College has revised its criteria and application process for Fellowship, and encourages experienced dental professionals to review the revised criteria with a view to applying.
Nominations open for Council elections
Nominations are now open for elections to two seats on the College Council, and eligible members are invited to nominate themselves as candidates.
2026 Aesthetic Dentistry Award open for entries
The Tom Bereznicki Award for Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry, which promotes aesthetic dentistry skills and patient care, is now open for entries to the 2026 competition.
College Fellow awarded MBE
The College offers its congratulations to Professor Chris Tredwin FCGDent, who has been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to dentistry.
Minister addresses dental leaders
Senior College representatives were among dental leaders recently addressed by the Minister of State for Health and Social Care, Stephen Kinnock MP.
