The British Dental Association, Faculty of General Dental Practice UK and College of General Dentistry have joined forces to conduct a survey into discrimination in dentistry.

The College of General Dentistry is delighted to announce the appointment of three more Ambassadors, Professor Richard Horton, Dr Govin Murugachandran and Professor Jonathan Cowpe.

The College of General Dentistry and Dental Protection have announced the establishment of a partnership which includes a discount on Dental Protection subscription fees for members of the College.  

The College of General Dentistry (CGDent) has published details of its new membership scheme, enabling all members of the dental team to become part of the UK’s first independent college for primary dental care.

The Future of Dentistry – Lessons From COVID-19. The traditional FGDP(UK) Malcolm Pendlebury Memorial Lecture will be co-hosted by the College and delivered online this year, and made accessible to the whole of the dental profession for the first time.

Emyr Meek, a recent graduate from Cardiff University School of Dentistry, is the winner of the inaugural Art & Science of Dentistry Prize from the College and the Dental Society of Wales – Y Gymdeithas Ddeintyddol. The prize is for dental students in Wales, and Emyr’s submission is a poster about contract reform in Wales.

The Faculty of General Dental Practice UK and College of General Dentistry have published an updated synopsis of their guidance on the implications of COVID-19 for the safe management of general dental practice.

The second edition of Guidance Notes for Dental Practitioners on the Safe use of X-ray Equipment sets standards of good practice for the safe use of X-ray equipment in dental practice.
